Affiliate and content disclosure
This page explains exactly how money works on this site. It is written plainly because a disclosure that needs decoding is not a disclosure.
Affiliate links
Some links to products on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something through one, this site may receive a commission. The price you pay is the same either way. The commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your total.
Every affiliate link is marked with a small ad label next to it, and carries rel="sponsored nofollow". There is no link on this site that earns money and is not marked.
Project links
Project pages may link to the materials and equipment used in a build. Those links help you find the parts. Check that each item suits your own setup before purchasing.
Gifted and loaned products
If materials or equipment featured in a project are supplied free of charge or loaned, that relationship will be clearly stated alongside the content.
Sponsored content
If a brand ever pays for a piece of content, that content is labelled as paid at the top of the page.
Prices
Build material prices are estimates in Canadian dollars, before tax unless stated otherwise. Retail prices may change. The digital guide price is listed separately from the materials needed to build it.
Corrections
If something on this site is factually wrong, please say so via the contact page. Corrections are made promptly. Anything that changes the substance of a project guide is noted on the page with the date, rather than quietly edited.
Independence
This site is independent and is not owned by, funded by, or operated on behalf of any brand featured on it.
